Tree branches, grass leaves, hedge clippings, and garden refuse.

Small stones, furniture, mattresses, etc.

 

DO NOT place in rubbish for collection any of the following material: gasoline, benzene, kerosene, turpentine or similar explosive or highly volatile liquids, nor any cartridges, shells, ammunition, explosives, etc.

 

For proper disposal of the above-mentioned materials, contact the Town of North Hempstead (627-0590) for the time and location of Stop Throwing Out Pollutants (STOP) collection.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Branches of trees, bushes and hedges not to exceed 5” in diameter and must be tied in bundles NOT more that 3” in diameter.  Bundles must be tied so no bundle is more than 3’ x 3’ x 3’.

 

 

 

Broken glass, sharp metal or other materials liable to injure the collector, must be properly packaged.  The law requires that doors must be removed from discarded refrigerators.
